Nnamdi Kanu: lawyer goes spiritual ahead of court hearing

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had in the early hours of Wednesday gone spiritual ahead of his clients court hearing.

Ejiofor prayed to God for a successful hearing. He also prayed that God will never fail him.

Nnamdi Kanu will on Wednesday reappear at Binta Nyako’s High Court in the country’s capital.

Kanu is said to re-appear in court to continue with his terrorism charges.

However, the lawyers of Kanu have prayed the court to cut short all charges against their client as none holds water.

Nnamdi was sometime ago in the month of June 2021 arrested by the Nigerian authorities in Kenya.

The lawyers of Kanu have argued that the manner in which their client was renditioned to Nigeria was illegal.

They went ahead to accuse the Nigerian government of total disobedience to international laws which Nigeria was a signatory to.

This law stops any member-state from encroaching into the territory of another state to arrest any of her citizens without due process.

Evidence has shown that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not go through any extradition process in Kenya before being returned to Nigeria.

This however, indicates that Kanu was kidnapped in Kenya and returned to Nigeria.

Ejiofor has prayed to God to grant him, his team of lawyers and their clients an unmerited favour during the Wednesday court hearing.

Below is the prayer Ejiofor shared via his verified Facebook page.

“Unto thee, O Lord do I put my trust, let me not not be ashamed, deliver Umuchineke speedily. May your name be praised forever even at the end of today’s proceedings You have never failed me oh Lord”.
