The Presidential Youth Employment Scheme, PYES registration has commenced for 2022.

The government of Nigeria has announced that the online registration for PYES for the year 2022 has commenced.

People who are seeking government’s empowerment through the platform are now advised to visit to register.

What is PYES?

PYES is an acronym for Presidential Youth Employment Scheme. The scheme was introduced by the Buhari led administration.

PYES was introduced as another form of the federal government’s intervention strategy to enable individuals to gain employment.

The program was designed for students and businessmen and women between the ages of 18-40.

It is a nonrefundable grant the government is offering to its citizens in the view of elevating people from poverty.

Who and who can register?

Like I mentioned earlier, the PYES portal is open for those between the ages of 18 to 40.

People below 18 years and those above 40 years are not welcome on this platform.

Interestingly, you must not be a university or college of education graduate before you can have access to this grant.

The qualifications that are required are WAEC or its equivalent (NECO, NABTEB, GCE, etc), NCE, Degree, ND, HND etc.

That is to say, you must not be a university graduate before you can have access to registering at the PYES portal.

When is the portal closing?

The registration for the PYES program is still ongoing. The date for the closure has not yet been announced.

It is still advised you rush now to register as many Nigerians are already filling up the form for registration.

Requirements for PYES registration

  • WAEC or its equivalent certificate
  • Phone number/email address
  • Name of guarantor
  • Date of birth

How long does it take to be shortlisted?

If you have successfully registered for the PYES program you are advised to wait for some days if not weeks for notification.

You shall be notified through your phone or email if you were shortlisted as one of the lucky people.

I would always advise that you constantly check your email to know if your name is shortlisted.

Another simple but relevant piece of advice, make sure that you use a working email address when registering in the PYES portal.

Why is PYES portal not opening?

We have received and also confirmed notification bordering on people’s inability to access the portal.

Bear it in mind that it is a problem from the agency incharge of the website.

Always come around to be informed on when the website is back online.
