Why Rochas Should be Grateful to Biafrans

Following the arrest and release of Uche Nwosu the son-in-law to Senator Rochas Okorocha, the former governor should be grateful to Biafrans for speaking out immediately.

On Sunday, the son-in-law to the former governor of Imo state, Chief Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was abducted by the DSS at Eziama in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo state at a church service.

During the time of the commando-style arrest, the media personnel were at gun points warned against recording the unspeakable event.

Fearless Biafrans filmed the event and made it public.

It was because of the publicity of the video by IPOB and Biafrans that led to the immediate release of Uche Nwosu.

With the recent activities carried out by security operatives under the auspices of the Hope Uzodimma led administration, one can attest to the fact that Uche Nwosu would have met his ancestors on that day he was “abducted” which was later nicknamed “arrest”.

IPOB deserve accolades for the publicity they gave to the Nwosu’s illegal arrest.

It would also be important to raise the concern that if Uche Nwosu was killed in that abduction, his abductors would have fled and left the blame on IPOB and ESN. But as God may have it, their plans were dead at arrival.

Rochas Okorocha and his entire family should be grateful to Biafrans for having the courage to record the event even where the Nigerian press could not.

That the former governor was able to lambast the state government is the result of Biafrans involvement in publicising the video.

The immediate intervention of Biafran media fostered the immediate release of Uche Nwosu.

One can also attest to the fact that the video shared by Nigerian mainstream media houses are videos from the same clip shared by an unknown Biafran.

All thanks to IPOB and Biafrans for their quick intervention. If anything had happened to Uche Nwosu, IPOB and ESN would have been left to be blamed as usual.
