1st October: Buhari Reveals Sponsors of Secessionists

In his October 1st speech, the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has claimed that they know who and who are sponsoring secessionist movements in Nigeria.

According to Buhari, efforts are made to capture these sponsors who are already on the run.

He also said that the committee set up to identify these sponsors found out that a National Assembly member is part of the sponsors.

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho are the two great individuals calling for the freedom of Biafra and Oduduwa respectively from Nigeria.

However, the Nigerian government has decided to be adamant about these calls. They have used the government’s might to pull down the activities of these noblemen.

The government of Buhari tagged members of IPOB led by Nnamdi Kanu terrorists and also made efforts to tag the Oduduwa agitators terrorists also.

Kanu was kidnapped in Kenya by the Nigerian government with the support of the Kenyan government.

Since July, Kanu has been in Nigeria with a failed attempt to bring him to court by the members of the DSS.

However, his court hearing was adjourned to the 26th of October with the court mandating the DSS to ensure that Kanu is brought to court this time.

In the Benin Republic, Sunday Igboho is arrested by the Benin government.

Despite many applications by the Nigerian government to repatriate him to Nigeria, the Benin republic has remained resolute.

They want to follow all due processes in ensuring that he is justly repatriated to his home country.

That is possible if and only if he is found guilty of the charges against him.
