At the US Nationals, Montano, won the 800-metre race with ease.

Alysia Montano (née Johnson) was born on 23 April 1986.

She is an American middle-distance runner. She is a six-time USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships 800 metres champion (2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015).

Montano received significant publicity for the 2014 race that she competed in while 8 months pregnant.
